In this writing/research intensive course, together we will explore the craft of biography. We will read and dissect different types of biographies not only to learn about historical lives, but more importantly, for the research and writing techniques of using biography to explore history. In this instance, it’s not only the students who will be participating in this program, but the professor as well. As a historian on the cusp of writing a biography of C.W. Post, and as a scholar who had never written a biography, we will be working together to learn these techniques and methods and sharing our work.
