This is a writing intensive course. It is also a reading intensive course. There is also a research paper as the final product. History 201 courses are specifically designed to introduce history students to disciplinary requirements and techniques. These primary skills – critical reading, data mining, thesis formulation, informational organization, research discussion, written communication, editing – are however, universally applied across all academic disciplines.
